The Discoveries. Approximately eleven years ago, Tom Mower, a research scientist, discovered that the ingredients in formulations being used in skin, hair and personal care products were ineffective and very out of date in relationship to the technological breakthroughs and discoveries that had been made in biochemistry. In addition, many of the ingredients were now found to be potentially harmful to the skin, to many of the internal organs, and to the general health of people using them. Tom Mower concluded that these ingredients were used long before science had the ability to know the effects, either positively or negatively that would come from their use.
