Do you want financial freedom? Quit the job? Time freedom? Don't we all? Let me ask you a question. Is there a problem in our business that having 20 customers won't solve? Think about it. If 75 % of our distributors had 20 customers, our sales (and checks) would skyrocket! It's all about product flow. This is a business. Even the so-called "best compensation plan in the industry" won't pay out unless people are buying products. Infinity pay out on nothing is still nothing.
20 customers, ....customers you say? "Oh, well I wouldn't have to sell anything, would I?" Absolutely. Who are we kidding telling people they don't have to sell anything, just simply share. We know it's not true. Why are we afraid to say the S word? SELL, SELL AND SELL. There I said it. We market high quality, more effective and concentrated products. That requires SALESMANSHIP. The secret is personal conviction. With it, non-sales types become master marketers. 95% of all successful companies and distributorships have been built because of enthusiasm and conviction for a product. If we don't believe in our product enough to overcome our fear of rejection, we should get another product.
Today, many companies try to dazzle us with their new high tech innovations, all their "entering the momentum phase, being the next billion dollar ground floor opportunity, we will explode your downline for you, and retired millionaire Doctor shows you how" type promises etc. etc. They remind me of those late night infomercials. I can just see the pictures of Rolls Royces, mansions and beaches on TV screens now. Yuck! Hype, hype and more hype. This stuff makes me nauseous. I hope I miss the next wave. (We've had more waves than Rocky sequels)
Please remember, our industry was built upon warm-list marketing. I don't know many successful distributors that didn't build firstly upon their own list of family, friends and contacts. Trust marketing, friends helping friends. If you really believe, you will tell them first. Do the math, create 20 customers out of your warm-list, treat them well, teach those you recruit to do the same, encourage and recognize them along the way and watch what happens. It is a simple business. This method would alleviate 90% of all our networking problems.
We as distributors should take the lead and inform those that run our companies that the "hype" techniques are unacceptable to us. Stay product focussed. Let's force ourselves to live up to the high ideals this industry was founded upon. And those are simply; that anybody can become successful by helping others succeed, that the "little money" i.e. $500.00 per month is very acceptable, it's enough for people to begin their dream with, and through "trust marketing" and persistence, financial freedom is available for the average person.
If we are lucky enough to be involved with a company that edifies and supports this kind of "culture" or structure, then there is no limit as to how big a business we can build on such a solid foundation. That kind of business you could leave to your Grandkids!
