1) Lid: Everybody has a "leadership lid", some people are aware of their lid, some aren't. Some people have a very high lid some a very low lid, one succeeds many goals while the other can't figure out why he/she hasn't had much success. Solution, build your lid by focusing on personal development. without personal development you live a life of frustration cause you just can't figure out what holds you back when all along it was YOU. (From my own experience)
2) Respect: Maxwell says in the Law of Respect that "people naturally follow leaders stronger than themselves", on a leadership scale from 1 to 10 (10 being highest) a 1 would follow a 2 and a 2 would follow a 3, you get the idea. From a leadership/business standpoint, your business partner may not have the respect in you to follow you. If a business partner don't have respect in you, automatically you fail one of the most of many important qualities of a leader and that's the law of respect. Solution, constantly give more reasons to be respected vs giving people reasons to disrespect you. It may be little things that cause disrespect, make sure your always being true to the people in your inner circle or business organization.
3) Influence: The leader is very visible in any organization, family, church, they are the people most people listen to and are influenced by. When it comes to making changes within your organization, family or church, you have to be able to influence the people to want to make changes. The solution if you don't have influence, you would start by adding value in anyway you can and be that person who people know they can count on for help and TLC (-;
4) Process: There's a process to success and failure. Just like a person who succeeds you may never know the real process that it took for a person to get there. This goes for someone who fails, there is a process of where one is in life. Leaders know there's a process and they've accepted the 'up's and down's', the challenges, while the non ready people get dragged down by the process. Solution for those who may be the type to loose in the process, personal development is all I can say.
5) Inner Circle: The Law of the Inner Circle is like a circle of people who lift you up or keep you down. This law says the leadership ability (or lack of leadership ability) of the people within your 'inner circle' will determine your level of success. If your living or working in a negative environment,change it, leave it or find a way to get a transfusion of positive examples in your life and on your mind every day. If you have influence then try to use that influence to make a more positive 'inner circle', this is another way a leaders excels, they look to make a difference in the people around them. Solution to those with a negative 'inner circle' is just like I just said be the positive difference within that 'inner circle', this is also another step to gaining influence.
6) Sacrifice: This law is all about giving up habits and ideas and behaviours you are holding to be able to grasp for something better. Like the saying goes, if you keep doing what your doing your going to keep getting the results your getting. What is your life giving you in return today, this goes for family as well as business life. If you feel you need a change cause your results have not changed, it's time to experience the law of sacrifice and give up some of those habits and behaviours, see where it leads you. Solution for those who have a hard time sacrificing habits, use hypnosis or as it said in the book "The Greatest Salesman In The World" find positive habits to replace the negative habits.
7) Priorities: I believe family is one of the highest priorities. If your a business owner like myself you may find it difficult sometimes to know how all your priorities fit in your life. When assessing and setting your priorities, consider the areas where the most is required from you and where you get your greatest rewards and fulfillment. Family first (-; Solution to those who have a hard time with this, management books are a good read for starters.
What I hope to communicate about these Laws of Leadership is how understanding one or several laws very well, learning them and living them, will provide the solution to just about any problem that you might have.
