Choosing a product or service for work from home. Vitamins. Products.

Home businessWhether you have a Web Site or not, you should choose products or services you're interested in and have a common theme. If you were initially impressed, so might others. Know your products and services well in order to answer questions in a timely, efficient way.

Surf the net, look over other offers and come up with something new & unique. Note: If you are working alone, keep in mind the time it will take to react to the order. You need to spend most of your time marketing your product or service rather than delivering it.

If it takes a lot of time to deliver your product, hire a good marketing & promotion company. Ask for references and check them out. You could also barter these services. Offer a percentage of the profits or your service or product in exchange. Form a partnership with a reliable company (tread carefully on this one).

Reselling for other companies has been going on for centuries. The store owners in the mall do not manufacture their products, they resell them for the manufacturer. This is probably the best way for work from home to make money. You spend all your time marketing and the owner of the product or service fills the order. 

You would still want to be acquainted with what you are marketing. Try the product so you can sell it with pride and knowledge behind you. If this is not possible, do some research. Do not ruin your reputation by something that might not be on the up and up.

Look for at least a 25% commission (discount) per sale, preferably a 50% commission (discount). High ticket items would be the only exception. Computers, for instance, would earn you a lesser commission but would still be a nice profit if you were earning $150 or so on every sale.

Don't limit your thinking. When I run across something I'm impressed with I start asking these questions. If I like the answers, I approach the company. Do you have a reseller program? If not, how about a percentage for any referrals I send to you that purchase?

I purchased a service in my early days from a company that was fairly new. I knew others would need this as well and they were taking good care of me and my business.

I said, hey, let me resell for you. They said OK. I have sent them many new customers and they pay me for each one. We've been a big part of each others growth. They now have a reseller program because our arrangement worked out so well.

Honesty, Integrity, Persistence and Ingenuity are the keys to success.
